• Due to budget reductions occuring in the spring of 2020, the JES Enrichment program will not be available for students to participate in for the 2020-2021 school year.  Instead, classroom teachers will be responsible for differentiating instruction for all learners, including high ability students.  The hope is for the JES Enrichment program to return at some point in the near future.

At Jordan Elementary, we pride ourselves on the high quality teaching and learning environment we offer to all students through differentiated instruction. Children have the opportunity to reach their highest potential as a learner. As an additional option for students performing at the highest levels, JES offers an enrichment program. This program helps students thrive by offering challenging and supportive educational experiences and services beyond the typical classroom setting. Together these programs and services nurture the academic and social needs of high potential and creative children. Students can qualify for the JES enrichment program if they meet the following criteria:

    Preliminary screening tools:

    • Scores at or above the 95th percentile for at least three NWEA/FASTBridge assessments for Reading and Math
    • Scores at the “Exceeds” level on the MCA Math and Reading assessments (available to students in grade three for consideration for enrichment in grade four)
    • Scores at or above the 95th percentile on the CogAT Screener (available to students starting in grade 2, or as determined by administration)
    • Teacher recommendation

Final determination for admittance into the JES enrichment program:

    • Scores in the 95th percentile or higher on the full CogAT assessment
