Mr. Dietel
Grade 3 Teacher
I love being a teacher and coach! Having the opportunity to work with young people, and help them along their educational journey is a big responsibility, and it is also very rewarding. During my youth I had the good fortune of having teachers who inspired me to learn. I want to do the same and inspire the students I get to work with. I consider it a privilege to work with the students and families in the Jordan School District.

Mystery Readers Wanted
Would you be interested in coming to our classroom and read to the students? We would enjoy having you! You can be a part of Mr. Dietel's "Mystery Reader" program. Here's what we do...
*Contact me if you have some time to read to us. We can set up a day and time that works for both you and our class.
*Shhhhh....don't tell your child. This is the "mystery" part. Once we have a time that works I will announce to the class that we have a Mystery Reader coming to read to the class. The students get very excited in anticipation of finding out who our Mystery Reader is.
*You will then show up to our classroom, read from our current read aloud book for 15-20 minutes, take a picture with your child and the book, and you can be on your way. The picture will be placed on our Mystery Reader Wall.
*Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, special family friends are all welcome to be Mystery Readers.
*You can contact me via email or phone. -

NFL Hall of Fame: How it works
HOW IT WORKS
How awesome would it be to be in the NFL (Never Finished Learning) Hall of Fame? NFL Hall of Fame students will challenge themselves to continue learning outside our regular classroom activities.
Here is how students can be a NFL Hall of Fame member:
1. Choose any question from the five categories on the challenge list:
*Social Studies
*Math
*Language Arts
*Science
*HumanitiesStudents can choose as many topics from any of the categories as they like.
2. Use books or the internet to research your topic. Make sure that if you are using the internet that you ask for your parent's permission.
3. Write the challenge category and challenge number under your name at the top of a piece of notebook paper and record your answer.
4. Go over your answer thoroughly so you can become an expert on your topic.
5. When you are ready, hand in your paper to Mr. Dietel. He will then find a time to meet with you and ask you some questions about your topic. When a student has completed 50 different topics they become members of the NFL Hall of Fame in Mr. Dietel's class. Hall of Fame members will be listed in our classroom and on Mr. Dietel's webpage. Once you're in the Hall of Fame you are in for life since you are a lifetime learner!

I love being a teacher! I love to work with children and help them grow as a student and an individual. Being a part of their progress academically, socially, and emotionally is truly an honor. I also love to work with families and help in any way I can. They say it takes a village to raise a child - and I'm so lucky to be a part of that village. I have always had amazing teachers that instilled in me a love of learning, and hope to do that for all students that come through my class. I feel very fortunate to be teaching 3rd grade here at Jordan and being a part of this amazing community!

Hello, my name is Molly Huss. This is my fourth year teaching at Jordan Elementary School, and I feel so blessed to work in such an amazing environment where students can truly succeed! I am originally from Jordan and love this community. I received my degree in Elementary Education from Minnesota State University, Mankato and I am licensed to teach K-6. My favorite thing about teaching is the connections I make with students and their families. I love supporting the Jaguars and Hubmen, and watching the future of our town grow at JES!

Mrs. Theis
Grade 3 Teacher
Ever since I was in Kindergarten I've wanted to be a teacher. Every teacher I have ever had, grades K-12, I will always remember because in some way, every teacher I have ever had has somehow impacted me and shaped me into the person I am today. Without teachers, we would not have the most successful people that we have in our world today. I can only hope to be the person that a crowd of Jordan graduates will someday thank because I was given the opportunity to help get those students there. I have a genuine passion for children. It takes a village to raise and ensure success in a child. I am so excited and proud to be a part of Jordan's village
