Mr. Coddington
Physical Education Teacher
Hello! I began my journey of teaching Physical Education back in 2003, at a middle school in IL. I've had the privilege of being a part of the Jordan Elementary School community since 2013.
My passion lies in helping young minds discover the joys and benefits of physical activity. From fostering strong, healthy bodies to creating unforgettable moments of fun and teamwork, I'm dedicated to nurturing a love for exercise in our students.
Beyond the elementary school, I also connect with high school students through teaching driver education, sharing knowledge that extends beyond the gym and into the broader realm of life skills.
When I'm not in the classroom, you can find me working in my yard and garage, and enjoying quality time with my family—my wife Laurie and our three active children, Emmett, Annie, and Graham. We relish outdoor adventures together, like hiking, fishing, and hunting. I also enjoy pushing my limits by training for triathlons.
Thanks for stopping by, and I look forward to inspiring the next generation to lead healthy, active lives!

Mr. Geisel
Physical Education Teacher
I chose to pursue a career in Physical Education for several reasons. First and foremost, I derive immense satisfaction from witnessing the joy that children experience when engaging in and discovering physical activities that resonate with them. Additionally, my personal passion for physical activity and movement enables me to serve as a strong role model, exemplifying the traits of an active and healthy adult for my students.
My decision to become a physical educator is also driven by a desire to challenge and transform the negative perception often associated with physical education classes. Historically, subpar experiences in elementary, middle, and high school physical education have fostered an unfortunate aversion to physical activity. In my view, these adverse sentiments towards movement have significantly contributed to the prevailing obesity rates and health challenges in our nation.
I am committed to being a proactive agent of change, working to overturn these perceptions and actively supporting my students on their journey to discovering enjoyable physical activities. By doing so, I aim to foster a lifelong appreciation for a healthy lifestyle. As I approach my 21st year of teaching in Jordan, I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to contribute to your child's educational journey and make a positive impact on their lives.
